Guide
Approach and anchoring
Sippican Harbour opens off the northern shore of Buzzards Bay and narrows towards the village of Marion. Anchor clear of the mooring field in mud, where holding is generally good once the anchor sets through the weed. The harbour is exposed to the south and east, the quarter from which Buzzards Bay sends its summer afternoon chop.
Practical
Barden's Boat Yard lies 0.7 nm NW with fuel, water, a chandlery and launch service, and manages around 85 moorings in the harbour. Town regulations require helix moorings for boats over 25 feet. Island Wharf, the town landing, is 0.8 nm NW.
