Approach and anchoring
Approach Sippican Harbor from Buzzards Bay between Bird Island and Centerboard Shoal, then run north past Ram Island into the inner harbour. The yard sits at the head of the harbour on the west shore.
Practical
Transient slips and moorings for sail and power up to 65 ft. Petrol and diesel on the fuel berth, ice, hot showers and Wi-Fi. 55-tonne travel-lift, paint shop for hulls up to 75 ft, full rigging, composites and marine electronics. ABYC, NMEA and ABBRA certified technicians. Island Wharf is 0.5 nm south-east in Marion village.
Ashore
Marion village centre is a short walk south with the Beverly Yacht Club, Sippican Historical Society and a handful of restaurants. Tabor Academy fronts the harbour just south of the yard.
History
Founded in 1947 by brothers Carleton and Johnny Burr and still family-owned three generations later.
