Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter from Buzzards Bay and follow the buoyed channel up the Wareham River; the river narrows near the town and the tidal stream can reach 3 knots. Holding nearby is sand and mud. The mooring field is well sheltered on most points. Vessels up to 50 ft and 7 ft draught are accepted.
Practical
Moorings are assigned by the harbour master. A complimentary launch service runs to the transient buoys while in operation. Stonebridge Marina lies 0.2 mile to the north-east for fuel, pump-out and a ship's store.
