Approach and anchoring
Entry from the Little Choptank River into Slaughter Creek. A 7-foot-plus channel runs to the basin, suitable for most cruising yachts. The site sits on the western shore of Taylors Island.
Practical
Fuel berth, marine pump-out, 25-ton travel lift and dry storage. Deepwater slips with water and 30 and 50 amp electricity. Pool and bath house. Ship store, boat and bike rentals. Palm Beach Willie's restaurant and bar on the property.
Ashore
Taylors Island village is a rural island community on the mid-Chesapeake Eastern Shore. Crabbing and fishing grounds in the Little Choptank are part of the local activity. Golf course within driving distance.
History
The marina occupies the site of a former US Coast Guard station that served the mid-Chesapeake area for many years before relocating to Oxford, Maryland.
