Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter the ria of Pénerf from the south between the Borenis and Pignon cardinal marks. Narrow channel with strong tidal streams on the ebb, up to 3 knots. Sand bottom with patches of weed. Protected from N, NE, W and NW, exposed to S swell on the flood.
Practical
Water point ashore. No fuel or electricity at the mooring. Port de Pénerf at 0.8 nm to the W has a small quay and a few shops in the village of Le Tour-du-Parc.
Ashore
Pénerf oyster beds are worked from the ria, tastings at several producers in Le Tour-du-Parc. The GR34 coastal path runs along the east bank towards the Pointe de Penvins and its Notre-Dame-de-la-Côte chapel, 4 km on foot.
