Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south leaving the Pointe de Penvins and its rocks to the west. Maximum draught 1.5 m at high water. The harbour dries at low water on soft mud and sand. Plan arrival on a rising tide. Exposed to winds from south through south-west.
Practical
Moorings on buoys for shallow-draught craft. No fuel berth, no capitainerie on the quay. Bar and restaurant open in season near the chapel. Small grocery in Saint-Jacques, 2 km to the west.
Ashore
Chapel of Notre-Dame de Penvins on the headland, built in neo-Gothic style in the 1880s with views over the bay of Quiberon. Coastal path GR 34 follows the Rhuys peninsula past the harbour. Beaches of Landrezac and Kerfontaine within 2 km on foot.
