Approach and anchoring
Enter West Sound from the south between Double Island and the Orcas shore. The club sits on the west side of the sound, with its 290 ft dock visible from the fairway. Reciprocal moorage only, with about 100 partner clubs; no transient berths for non-members.
Practical
Club dock of 290 ft plus a 1500 sq ft picnic shelter on the waterfront. Fuel, chandlery and a 30-ton boat hoist are available at West Sound Marina, 0.1 nm SE.
History
Founded in 1956 to bring together sail and power cruisers of the San Juans, with yacht racing added later.
