Approach and anchoring

Tidal river with strong currents in the narrows at the mouth of the Morbihan. Buoyed channel. Sand and mud bottom with good holding. Sheltered from all directions by the wooded banks.

Practical

Infinity Nautique 0.9 NM to the south and Le Bono 0.9 NM to the north for pontoons and supplies. Saint-Goustan quay in Auray upstream for a full stop with restaurants and shops.

Ashore

Port of Saint-Goustan in Auray, medieval quay where Benjamin Franklin landed in December 1776 on his mission to the French court. Village of Le Bono with its 1840 suspension bridge 0.9 NM north. Chemin des douaniers GR 34 follows both banks of the river.
