Approach and anchoring
The river is tidal and strong currents run on the ebb and flood, with the renverse near slack water. Pick up the mooring at slack if possible. Holding ground is mud. The bend offers shelter from NW, NE, W and E winds but leaves a fetch on the N and S axes.
