Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter between the green and red marks, with Reedy Island Dike to the south and Reedy Island to the north, and anchor in 4 to 10 metres of mud. Sheltered from north-west and north-east but open east and west. Wakes from passing cargo ships make the anchorage bouncy, especially with wind against tide.
Practical
A common overnight stop after transiting the C&D Canal. Delaware City Marina lies 3.6 miles to the north, with the town offering a boat ramp, small beach and an inn with a restaurant ashore on the mainland.
