Approach and anchoring
The Salem River is entered from the Delaware River through Salem Cove, with the approach channel running about 2 miles up the southeast side of the cove. It is marked by a lighted buoy, the Salem River Range Lights and a directional light. The channel carries a Federal project depth of 16 ft. The club sits on the river within reach of the C and D Canal.
Practical
River berths and a fuel berth. The club runs a year round programme of tournaments, club visits and family events.
History
Pennsville lies on the lower Delaware, opposite the historic Salem waterfront. The Salem River channel was first dredged to 16 ft in 1925, keeping the port a low draught one.
