Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Delaware River and anchor clear of the canal entrance and the main channel, where commercial traffic runs day and night. Anchoring inside the canal itself is prohibited. Holding is good in mud. The spot lies open to winds from N and E, and a strong tidal stream sets through the reach.
Practical
Delaware City Marina is 1.2 nm to the W with fuel, fresh water and shore power. Barber's Basin lies 3.8 nm to the E. The town has a small grocery and a few eating places along Clinton Street, a short walk from the waterfront.
