Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter from the south at mid to high water, keeping clear of the rocks off the islet's western tip. The tombolo of white sand between island and shore dries at low water and closes the passage. Water depths of 2 to 4 m at the anchorage on mean tide.
Practical
Sand bottom, good holding. Shelter from N, NE and NW winds behind the island; exposed to the south and west swell. L'Herbaudière and Port Manec'h 2.3 nm east, Port de Trévignon 2.5 nm west, both accessible for refuge.
Ashore
Plage de Raguénez is one of the best-known beaches in southern Finistère, a 600 m sand crescent. Coastal path GR 34 runs along the shore with walks east to Port Manec'h in around 90 minutes. Bakery and creperies at Nevez village 2 km inland.
