Anchorage off a 26-acre private island in Card Sound, north of Key Largo, Florida, with a sand bottom.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from Card Sound, west of Snapper Point and south of Angelfish Creek. The northern anchorage carries about 7 feet but a charted unmarked rock must be cleared on the way in. The southern anchorage holds similar depths and shelter, open to the south and south-west.
Practical
No facilities ashore as the island is private. Ocean Reef Club lies 1.3 miles south-east and South Miami-Dade Marina is 8.4 miles south-west for fuel and provisions.
Story
The island carries a 20-berth marina built around a private home and has been listed for sale at 75 million dollars.
