Drying cove and small harbour on the north coast of Finistère, commune of Cléder, between Plouescat and Moguériec.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north through a rocky foreshore typical of the Côte des Sables. The area dries widely at low water with large tidal range. Local knowledge or careful chart work needed at half-tide. Shelter from southerly winds, open to northerlies.
Practical
Mooring on drying buoys or alongside the small quay. No fuel or water at the pontoon. Village of Cléder about 3 km inland with bakery, grocery and restaurants.
Ashore
GR 34 coastal path, the former customs officers' trail, runs along the shore in both directions. Beaches of Kerfissien and Poulennou within walking distance. Château de Tronjoly, a 16th to 17th century manor, stands about 2 km south in Cléder.
