Guide
Approach and anchoring
The dock is reached off Ceres Street in the Olde Harbour district, just past the Sheraton hotel. The Piscataqua runs a strong tidal stream of 4 to 5 knots past the berth. It is a working landing for a passenger tour boat rather than a visitor marina.
Practical
Portsmouth Harbor Cruises has run narrated trips from this dock since 1982, from May to October, aboard the 49-passenger M/V Heritage. Tours cover Portsmouth Harbour, the Isles of Shoals and the river. The shops and restaurants of downtown Portsmouth are alongside.
