Marina on the Maine bank of the Piscataqua River at Kittery, opposite Portsmouth, New Hampshire, about 2 nm from the river mouth.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
The Piscataqua runs fast, with a tidal stream reaching 5 knots, and the marina sits close to the Memorial Bridge lift span. Time the approach for slack water, or be ready to handle the boat alongside in a strong current. Berths take vessels from 25 to 125 feet.
Practical
Deep-water berths with 30 amp shore power, fresh water, pump-out, cable, internet and ice. Facilities include showers and laundry, with private parking. A short walk over the bridge reaches the centre of Portsmouth and its restaurants.
Ashore
Portsmouth town centre lies a few minutes on foot across the Memorial Bridge, with shops, restaurants and the Strawbery Banke open-air history museum near Marcy Street.
