Approach and anchoring
Fluvial navigation on the Erdre with no tidal constraint above the Saint-Félix lock in Nantes. Speed limited to 6 km/h on most of the river. Low bridges require attention for sailing boats with masts.
Practical
Pontoon berths used mainly by local river cruisers and rental boats. Port Saint-Martin de Nort-sur-Erdre lies 0.4 NM to the north and La Poupinière 1.8 NM to the south, both on the same navigable reach.
Ashore
The Canal de Nantes à Brest joins the Erdre 2 km north of Port Mulon at the Pont de la Tortière, opening onward navigation towards Blain and Redon. Nort-sur-Erdre town centre with shops and market is about 1 km from the port.
