Approach and anchoring
Reached from the open lake, no tidal constraints. The northern basin of the lake is more exposed to valley winds channelled between the Mont du Chat and the Bauges massif. Port de Conjux lies 1.1 nm west as a nearby alternative shelter.
Practical
Moorings for local and visiting craft. Water and shore power at the pontoons. Village shops and restaurants in Chindrieux within walking distance. Chanaz lock and canal de Savières entrance 2 km north for access to the Rhône.
Ashore
Canal de Savières towpath walk to Chanaz village at 2 km, medieval bourg on the canal. Abbaye royale de Hautecombe at 6 km by water on the opposite shore, burial site of the House of Savoy. Aix-les-Bains thermal town at 15 km along the lake.
