Approach and anchoring
Freshwater anchorage, no tide. Mud bottom, good holding with a well-set anchor. Shelter from NW through S; exposed to N and E winds, which can funnel down the lake and kick up a short chop. Keep clear of the marked swimming zones along the east shore and of the Abbaye de Hautecombe ferry route.
Practical
No services on site. Nearest fuel, water and berths at Grand Port d'Aix-les-Bains, 2.7 NM SE, and Petit Port 3.2 NM SE. Provisioning in Aix-les-Bains town.
Ashore
Abbaye de Hautecombe, Cistercian monastery on the west shore, accessible by tender or by the lakeside footpath. Bauges regional natural park rises directly above the east shore with marked hiking trails from Aix-les-Bains.
