Approach and anchoring
Entrance from the east between two jetties on a low sandy shore. Maximum draught 1.85 m, shallow banks to the north of the approach. VHF channel 9. Tramontane from NW funnels down the lido and can reach 40 knots, approach in strong winds is uncomfortable.
Practical
1400 berths for boats up to around 15 m. Fuel berth with diesel and petrol, water and power at the pontoons, sanitary blocks, travel hoist and winter hard standing. Shops and restaurants along the quay, supermarket within 800 m.
Ashore
The Lydia, a former liner grounded on the beach in 1967, stands 400 m from the port as a local landmark. Long sandy lido beach right next to the marina. Salses-Leucate lagoon behind the lido for kite surfing and oyster farms, fortress of Salses 15 km inland.
