Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the SW along the coast. Bottom is rocky with weed patches, tenure poor, pick a clear sand patch or lay on a visitor buoy where available. Sheltered from NW through NE to SE; exposed to the S and SW, where the Ligurian swell rolls in onto the rocks.
Practical
Forain anchorage, no services. Port de la Figueirette is 2.3 NM N and Port d'Agay 2.8 NM W for water, fuel and visitor berths. Coastal railway viaduct of Anthéor is the conspicuous landmark north of the anchorage.
Ashore
Corniche d'Or coast road runs above the anchorage, built 1903 by the Touring Club de France. Footpath along the cliffs leads to the viaduc d'Anthéor 1 km north and to Cap Roux 3 km west, with a view over the Gulf of Fréjus. Beach of Anthéor 800 m NW of the point.
