- Type
- Harbour
Small town-owned marina on the Pocasset River, off the west side of Buzzards Bay in Bourne, Massachusetts.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter from Buzzards Bay into the Pocasset River mouth. The channel is shallow and best suited to boats of modest draught; salt marsh begins past the railway bridge a short way upstream. Pocasset is also used as a holding spot while waiting for a fair tide through the Cape Cod Canal.
Practical
A single dock with 17 berths owned by the Town of Bourne and run by the Department of Natural Resources. Minimal staff, no shore power. Berths are let from a waiting list. For fuel and full facilities use a neighbouring harbour.
