Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Bouches de Bonifacio with a careful watch for the rocky heads north-east of the beach and the marked route through the Lavezzi archipelago. Sand bottom with good holding. Sheltered from NW, N, NE, W and E. Fully exposed to S and SE, where the libeccio and sirocco build a short, breaking sea. In a southerly, shift to Sant'Amanza 2.3 NM N or Bonifacio 2.6 NM NW.
Ashore
The anchorage is inside the Réserve naturelle des Bouches de Bonifacio, with zoning rules on anchoring and no-take zones to respect. The Sperone headland overlooks the Lavezzi islands reserve, a known diving area. Bonifacio old town on the chalk cliffs reachable by land or by returning west by sea.
