Approach and anchoring

Approach from the south in clear water. Shelter from N, NE, E and NW winds. Open to the libeccio from the SW, which sends swell straight into the cove. The entrance to the Bouches de Bonifacio lies 4.3 NM to the west; currents there can reach 2 to 3 knots in fresh westerlies.

Practical

Anchor on sand in 4 to 8 m. Sant'Amanza 2.7 NM NW and Bonifacio marina 4.3 NM W for water, fuel and provisions. No services on site.

Ashore

Low maquis shoreline of the Bonifacio limestone plateau. The GR20 southern trailhead at Conca lies inland; the coastal path above the cliffs leads to the Phare de Pertusato and the Grain de Sable stack, visible from the anchorage.
