Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south, keeping off the rocky points that flank the cove. Mixed bottom of sand, rock and posidonia, so drop on clear sand patches only to avoid damaging the seagrass. Shelter from NW through E; exposed to S and SW where the swell runs straight in. Port Athena breakwater lies 0.2 NM to the west and gives the first refuge if the wind shifts.
Practical
Day use only, no mooring buoys. Swimming zone buoyed off in summer, keep outside the yellow line. Bandol marina 0.9 NM east for berthing, water, diesel, repairs and full provisioning. Tender landing on the pebble beach.
Ashore
Sentier du littoral runs along the top of the cove and links Bandol to the Anse de Renecros in about 25 minutes on foot. Île de Bendor 1 NM offshore is reachable by the regular shuttle from Bandol quay.
