Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south with the Espiguette lighthouse as landmark. Drop on sand seaward of the beach. Holding is good but the anchorage is exposed to S and SE swell. Shift north to Port Camargue if a marin sets in.
Practical
Port Camargue lies 2.2 NM north and Le Grau-du-Roi 3.3 NM north. No services ashore at the beach itself.
Ashore
The dune system of l'Espiguette stretches over 10 km and is a protected site of the Conservatoire du Littoral, with no buildings along the beach. The Espiguette lighthouse, built in 1869, stands behind the dunes.
