Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north across the Anse de Goulven, well offshore of the drying rocks that fringe the coast. The bay dries extensively at low water, so anchor outside the drying line on a rising tide. No buoyed channel, daylight approach only with good visibility.
Practical
No services at the anchorage. Plouescat town and its small drying harbour sit 1.4 nm NE. Poulennou 5.5 nm NE is the closest sheltered refuge if the wind backs to the north.
Ashore
The Keremma dunes run for about 7 km along the shore and are managed by the Conservatoire du Littoral. Marked walking paths cross the dune system. Chapelle de Keremma, built in the 19th century by the Rousseau family who reclaimed the dunes for farming, stands just behind the beach.
