Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach between rocky heads marked by beacons. The white pyramid of Pontusval on the shore serves as a daytime mark. Numerous drying rocks on either side of the entry line. Avoid in onshore winds from N to W. Entry in settled weather only, by daylight.
Practical
No infrastructure, pure anchoring on sand in 3 to 5 metres. Brignogan-Plages village within walking distance from the beach with bakery, grocer and restaurants. Nearest marina at Plouescat 5.3 NM east, Plouguerneau 7 NM southwest.
Ashore
Beach of Pontusval and Chardons Bleus beach directly behind the anchorage. The GR 34 coastal path runs along the shore with granite chaos formations typical of the Pays Pagan. Menhir de Men Marz, a Christianised standing stone of 8.5 metres, sits 1 km inland.
