Approach and anchoring
The marina sits on the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal, a tidal waterway running 8 miles from Roosevelt Inlet to Rehoboth Bay. The tidal range is around 4 feet and currents run hard at the inlet end. Roosevelt Inlet gives the shortest run to Delaware Bay.
Practical
Seasonal berths on a fixed dock, with the season running April to November. Water, 30 and 100 amp shore power, pump-out, restrooms, showers and ice are on site. Lewes town centre and provisioning lie within walking distance.
History
Lewes was the first European settlement in Delaware, founded by Dutch whalers as Zwaanendael in 1631. Pilottown Road takes its name from the Delaware Bay pilots who have been based here for more than 300 years to guide ships up to Philadelphia.
