Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Atlantic through the Indian River Inlet, 12 miles south of Cape Henlopen. The inlet carries strong tidal currents averaging about 1.8 knots and a tidal range near 4.5 feet, so time the entry near slack water. The marina basin lies just inside the inlet, with the floating fuel berth set at the basin mouth.
Practical

Floating fuel berth open 7am to 5pm weekdays and 7am to 7pm at weekends, carrying mid-grade petrol and ultra-low sulphur diesel. 154 indoor dry storage spaces. Monitored public boat ramp with a summer parking shuttle. Harbour office on 302 227-3071.
Ashore
The marina sits within Delaware Seashore State Park, with ocean and bay beaches along the barrier strip a short walk from the berths. Charter fishing fleet operates from the basin.
