Approach and anchoring
Reached from the Robine canal and across the étang, channel poorly marked in places. Usable draught around 0.7 m. Former salt-marsh channels run close to the village, keep to surveyed depths.
Practical
One berth. No port services. Bakery, grocer and cafés in the village centre within 200 m of the quay.
Ashore
Étang du Doul salt pond loop walk starting at the village, 3 km on wooden walkways across former salines. Parc naturel régional de la Narbonnaise en Méditerranée covers the area, Natura 2000 site for flamingos and waders. Château de Bouisse ruin above the village.
History
Peyriac was a salt-producing village from antiquity until the Salins du Midi closed the local pans in 1967. The wooden walkways across the étang du Doul were laid out on the former dykes.
