Approach and anchoring
Access from the sea through the Port-la-Nouvelle channel, then northwards across the étang de Bages-Sigean. Maximum draught 1 m, many shallow areas in the étang, stay strictly inside the marked channel. VHF 9.
Practical
387 berths on floating pontoons. Water and electricity at each berth. Sanitary block with showers. Crane, careening area and wintering on site. Club house with bar and restaurant. Bus to Narbonne town centre, supermarket at 2 km by road.

Narbonne old town and its Palais des Archevêques with the Gothic cathedral Saint-Just-et-Saint-Pasteur, 5 km by bike path along the Canal de la Robine. Regional natural park of the Narbonnaise en Méditerranée around the étang, birdwatching sites. Village of Bages on its rocky peninsula, 1,1 NM across the étang.
History
Narbonne was the capital of the Roman province of Gallia Narbonensis from 118 BC and one of the main ports of the western Mediterranean until its lagoon silted up in the Middle Ages. La Nautique harbour reuses the ancient Roman port area of Narbo Martius, where amphorae from the 1st century BC have been dredged.
