Small harbour on the eastern shore of Lac du Bourget at Aix-les-Bains, alongside the larger Grand Port marina.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Access from Lac du Bourget, the largest natural lake in France at 44.5 km². No tidal constraint. Shallow entrance, local knowledge useful. The Grand Port lies 0.6 NM to the north. Bise wind from the north and vent du midi from the south can raise short chop on the lake.
Practical
Fuel station available. Very limited visitor capacity. Most services, chandlery and repair facilities are at the adjacent Grand Port.
Ashore
Thermes Nationaux d'Aix-les-Bains and the town centre are 1.5 km east. The Roman Temple of Diana and the Arch of Campanus stand near the town hall at about 1.8 km. Abbaye royale de Hautecombe, burial place of the House of Savoy, faces the port across the lake at 4 NM west.
