Approach and anchoring

Reach Oakland Marinas via the Oakland Estuary main channel from San Francisco Bay, no tidal restriction. The visitor reception is at 1853 Embarcadero, north bank just past the Webster Street Tube. Slips take boats from 25 to 75 ft. Veille VHF 16, dock office on +1 510 834 4591.

Practical

Around 500 berths spread across Jack London Square Marina, Central Basin and Embarcadero North 1 and 2. Fuel berth with diesel and petrol on site, restrooms, showers, transient berths bookable via Dockwa. Visitor rate $1.50/ft per night with a $45 minimum.

Ashore

Jack London Square restaurants, breweries and Saturday farmers market are at the edge of the pontoons. Heinold's First and Last Chance Saloon, opened 1883 and a regular of Jack London, sits at the head of the basin. Amtrak Jack London Square station and the San Francisco ferry terminal are within 300 m.
