Guide
Approach and anchoring
The marina sits at the Harbour Court estate above Brenton Cove. Docks have deepwater access and berths for visiting yachts. A club launch serves the cove on VHF channel 74.
Practical
Berthing and the few club moorings are reserved for members and supporting events. Visitors needing a mooring in Newport Harbour can arrange one through Oldport Marine on VHF channel 68. Newport town quays lie a short run north.
History
The New York Yacht Club, founded in 1844, acquired Harbour Court in 1987 as its summer station. It was the former home of Commodore John Nicholas Brown. The club has hosted Race Week at Newport since 1998 and many world championship regattas.
