Approach and anchoring
Reached by water from the Intracoastal Waterway through the Cortez canal. The yard is at 4628 119th Street West, with Cortez Cove Marina about 0.1 nautical miles to the west.
Practical
The yard hauls boats up to 75 feet and 80 tons, taking up to 7 feet of draught. Work covers bottom and hull painting, non-skid, repowers, mast stepping, electrical, welding and storage. It opens Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1700. Contact 941 794 2802.
Ashore
The historic fishing village of Cortez is at hand, with the Florida Maritime Museum, the commercial fishing docks and waterfront seafood restaurants.
