Sand bottom with all-round shelter from the surrounding shores of the bay. The anchorage sits on the Intracoastal Waterway route between Tampa Bay and Sarasota.
Practical
No facilities on site. Harbour Villa Club is 1 mile to the south-east and Cortez Cove Marina 1.7 miles to the north for berths and provisioning.
Ashore
Bottlenose dolphins are seen in Sarasota Bay through the year. The Gulf beaches of Longboat Key lie a short way across the island.
