Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from offshore keeping well clear of the Plateau des Errants and the rocks around the fort islet. Sand bottom gives good holding. Shelter from NE and E only, fully open to S and W swell from the Atlantic.
Practical
Fair weather stop only. Fall back on Guidel marina 2.5 NM NW at the mouth of the Laita or Lomener 3.6 NM SE if wind turns south or west.
Ashore
Fort Bloqué itself stands on a tidal islet and is privately owned, no landing. The long sand beach of Guidel-Plages runs north, with beach cafes and shops in season. GR 34 coastal path passes along the dunes.
