Guide
Approach and anchoring
The cove opens to the south-east and lies past Long Point, just south of Whites Landing. Sand bottom holds well. The anchorage is protected from N and W winds but exposed to the south-east. Closest harbours of refuge are Los Angeles Yacht Club and Cabrillo Way Marina, both about 20 nm to the north.
Practical
Around a dozen boats can anchor here alongside the mooring buoy field, which is managed by Newport Harbor Yacht Club. The club holds shore facilities at the cove. Stays on an anchored vessel are capped at 14 days within the leased parcel.
