Approach and anchoring
Upstream access through the Rance tidal power station lock at Chatelier or the main barrage lock. Locks operate on fixed schedules tied to the power station cycle. Above the dam the water level is regulated. Anchor on weed, holding can be poor, check set of the anchor. Protection from SW, S and SE.
Practical
Centre Nautique La Richardais 0.5 nm to the NW, Port Minic 1.7 nm to the south. Shops in La Richardais village within walking distance of the nautical centre.
Ashore
Domaine de Montmarin on the west bank, an 18th century shipowner's estate with listed gardens, open to the public from May to September. The Rance towpath offers walking and cycling along the west bank from La Richardais to Dinan, about 20 km.
