Approach and anchoring
Reached from the sea through the Rance tidal power station lock at La Richardais. Lock operations are set by EDF around slack water, normally one or two passages per tide. Strong reversing currents in the estuary once through the lock. Keep to the buoyed channel on the west shore approaching the mooring.
Practical
Water available. No fuel or electricity on the mooring itself. Centre Nautique La Richardais lies 0.3 nm NE with a small slip and club services. Port Minic is 1.9 nm SE for a more equipped stop.
Ashore
La Richardais village about 500 m from the shore with bakery, grocery and cafés. The tidal power station visitor area at the Rance dam is walkable at roughly 1 km. Sentier des Douaniers GR34 passes through the village towards Dinard and the pointe du Moulinet.
