Approach and anchoring
The anchorage holds in sand and mud with all-round shelter from the surrounding shores. The Rickenbacker Causeway crosses nearby, so watch the marked channels and bridge clearances when working in and out.
Practical
A water point is the only service noted at the anchorage. Crandon Park Marina lies 0.7 nautical miles east on Key Biscayne for fuel, berths and provisions.
Ashore
Crandon Park on Key Biscayne has a long Atlantic beach, picnic grounds and a marina, a short dinghy run east. The Miami Seaquarium closed in October 2025 after 70 years, and the site is being redeveloped as a marina and waterfront village.
