Cité épiscopale with the Cathédrale Saint-Étienne, 12th to 16th century Gothic, 600 m from the moorings. Musée de la Grande Guerre du Pays de Meaux at 2 km covers the First Battle of the Marne of September 1914. Local speciality is Brie de Meaux AOP, on sale at the covered market on Saturday mornings.
