Approach and anchoring
The Manatee Pocket opens off the St. Lucie River close to its junction with the Intracoastal Waterway, around 3 nautical miles north of the St. Lucie Inlet. The marked entrance channel carries 7 to 9 feet; inside the pocket depths fall to 4 to 6 feet with little current. Fixed docks at the marina hold about 6 feet alongside.
Practical
Fuel berth, fresh water, shore power and ice. Three berths are kept for visitors, with daily dockage charged by the foot. Liveaboards accepted for a fee. The community has a swimming pool, tennis courts and a clubhouse.
