Approach and anchoring
Lies on the Intracoastal Waterway about 2 miles north of the St Lucie Inlet, on the east side of the river just south of the Stuart Causeway Bridge. The bottom is sand. Holding favours wind from east through south to west, but the anchorage is open to the north. VHF 16 reaches the marinas nearby.
Practical
Marriott Hutchinson Island Marina lies 0.7 mile to the south with 80 berths, diesel, petrol and a pump-out. Four Fish Marina sits 1.8 miles to the north-west. Both monitor VHF 16 for shelter or fuel if the wind shifts into the north.
