Guide

Approach and anchoring

The St Johns River is wide and tidal here, so anchor in mud clear of the creek mouth and the marina approaches, allowing for the river current. The park, on the south-east side of Jacksonville, has a 35-foot-wide public ramp, floating courtesy docks and a kayak launch.

Practical

Fresh water can be taken nearby. Julington Creek Marina lies 0.2 nm N and Mandarin Holiday Marina 0.2 nm NE, both just inside Julington Creek.

Ashore

Mandarin Park covers about 37 acres with a fishing pier, shoreline fishing, picnic pavilions and a playground. The park is now formally named Tommy Hazouri Sr. Park.
