Approach and anchoring
Manchester Harbor opens off Massachusetts Bay between Gloucester and Salem, a sheltered inlet with a marked entrance. Call the yard on VHF 72 or 978-526-7911. Transient moorings inside the harbour need booking in peak season.
Practical
Around 40 seasonal berths, plus transient moorings and a fuel berth selling petrol and diesel with ice. The yard handles repairs, repowers, fibreglass and electronics, hauls and stores boats, and has showers ashore.
History
New England yachts have been hauled and refitted on this site for over a century, one of the longest-running full-service yards on the Cape Ann shore.
