Guide
Approach and anchoring
The club sits off Fort Avenue on the north side of Salem Harbour, with open water to seaward and the Beverly shoreline to the west. Approach is straightforward in daylight from the main harbour channel. Jubilee Yacht Club lies 0.4 miles west.
Practical
Berths carry water and shore power. There is a fuel berth, a pump-out service and a clubhouse for members. Transient berths are handled through Dockwa. The historic Salem Willows amusement park and food stands sit beside the club.
History
The club was incorporated in 1933 to support yachting on Salem Harbour. Salem Willows Park itself dates from 1858, named after the white willows planted there as a shaded walk for patients of a nearby smallpox hospital.
