Year-round marina on the Annisquam River just inside Gloucester harbour, on the north shore of Massachusetts, about 40 miles north of Boston.

Approach and anchoring

Enter Gloucester harbour past Eastern Point Light and bear into the Annisquam River channel on the west side. The marina lies on the south bank, sheltered from the open Atlantic swell. Approach depth around 3 metres at low water, dockside slightly less. VHF 10 for the dockmaster.

Practical

Around 265 berths on floating pontoons, taking vessels up to 45 metres LOA. Fuel berth with diesel and petrol, pump-out, water and shore power on the pontoons. Heated pool, fitness room, laundry and the Mile Marker One restaurant on site. Provisioning in downtown Gloucester, 3 km by road.

Ashore

The Cape Ann coastal path and Stage Fort Park sit across the harbour, with the fishermen's memorial on Stacy Boulevard 3 km away. Whale-watching boats and the Gloucester schooner fleet sail from the inner harbour. Rockport and its Bearskin Neck artists' colony are 10 km by road to the north-east.
